Parliament votes at second reading amendments to the Forests Act proposed by parliamentary Agriculture and Forests Committee Chair Desislava Taneva
The right to build lifts, ski runs, ski lifts and the adjacent infrastructure, as well as other sport, cultural and religious facilities is to be awarded through bid procedures. The decision to announce a bid procedure is taken by the Council of Ministers (for forest lands, which are public state property), by the Minister of Agriculture for private state property lands and by the mayor, after a decision of the municipal council, for forest lands owned by the municipality. The starting price could be no less than the one for establishing a construction right. It was decided that such sites could be built through public-private partnerships and according to the law regulating them.
