Georgi Pirinski took over the Presidency of the PABSEC
National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski took part in the 28th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) on 23 November 2006 in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku.
At the forum Pirinski officially took over the Bulgarian Presidency of the PABSEC from the current PABSEC President Ogtay Asadov, Chairman of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Bulgaria takes over the Presidency of the regional forum for economic cooperation for the next six months. Georgi Pirinski will be PABSEC President by June 2007 when Sofia will host the next spring session of the General Assembly of the organisation.
From 24 to 25 November 2006, a Bulgarian parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Georgi Pirinski pays an official visit to Azerbaijan. The delegation includes MPs Atanas Merdzhanov (PG of Coalition for Bulgaria), Borislav Ralchev (PG of National Movement Simeon II), Fathme Iliaz (PG of Movement for Rights and Freedoms) and Krasimir Karakachanov (PG of Bulgarian People's Union).
