Additional One Time Aid for Handicap Children Envisaged by Law

On its sitting, dated 9 July 2008, parliament passed amendments to the Family Allowances Act. The changes envisage payment of an additional one time aid to children of up to two years old with 50% or more permanent disability. The bill was submitted by the Council of Ministers. The amount of the aid will be updated every year by the State Budget Act. The monetary aid can be substituted by other means when the cash assistance is not used properly by the parents. The allowances will be granted by the Social Assistance Services of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. The bill regulates the procedures for issue of administrative acts and their appeal and the ways for restitution of unlawfully granted aids.
The refusal to grant a family allowance for children has to be substantiated and communicated in written to the applicants.
Parliament adopted on first reading amendments to the Hunting and Game Preservation Act. It foresees delivering the management and use of game breeding and hunting areas after tender.
MPs passed on first reading amendments to the Privatization and Post Privatization Control Act and adopted on second reading changes to the Civil Aviation Act.
