According to the Deputy Interior Minister Veselin Vuchkov the reason for the recent tumult in the Katunitsa village reflects the accumulated discontent of people and said the effects of the latter could not be confined with talking alone. He added that the Ministry of the Interior had experienced the most serious challenge in the last two years, saying the sparkle thrown could have transformed into a big fire.
The people’s wish to see the state keeping a tight rein on and enforcing the law could not be achieved by pushing a button. He explained that the confidence of people could be regained gradually with the concerted efforts of all the institutions, not only the Interior Ministry. When citizens live to see the state pushing ahead and enforcing the law the public tensions against the openly demonstrated impunity will decrease.
