The Strategic Defence Review is going as planned
The process of the Strategic Defence Review is going very well and exactly as it was planned, British General Jeremy MacKenzie (Ret.) stated at the meeting with the leadership of the Parliamentary Foreign Policy, Defence and Security Committee. The Chief of Staff of the United States European Command, Lieutenant General John Sylvester also attended the meeting.
A detailed report on the Strategic Defence Review is going to be considered by the Council of Ministers and by the Parliamentary Foreign Policy, Defence and Security Committee afterwards, the Committee Chairman Venko Aleksandrov said.
Gen. MacKenzie said that the purpose of the two Generals’ working visit to Bulgaria is to assist the process of the Strategic Defence Review consulting the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff.
Gen. Sylvester highly assessed the progress achieved by the Bulgarian civilian and military leadership.
